Basic Function of the Position:

Achieve and exceed individual sales goal by selling exhibit space for CES, CES related events and other CTA revenue opportunities.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual square footage and revenue goals assigned by the Director of Exhibit Sales
  • Responsible for outreach via phone and e-mail for exhibit space and meeting space sales for CES, CES related events and other CTA revenue opportunities to increase sales results
  • Prospect and qualify for new business using the internet, industry publications, competitive show directories and leads provided by the Research Library and lead assignments in Salesforce
  • Build relationships with current and new exhibitors to identify needs and objectives
  • Serves as the initial contact with prospective exhibitors for assigned categories and responsible for qualifying prospective exhibitors, presenting exhibit options and communicating the terms of the exhibit space contract including payment schedule

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience including sales and prospecting
  • Track record or developing new business and growing existing accounts
  • Knowledge/experience of trade show sales in consumer technology or related field desired
  • Must possess strong customer service skills
  • Successful candidates must have excellent verbal communication skills and strong writing skills, used primarily in formal e-mail communications
  • Ability to adhere to and embrace CTAs operating values (including operating with honesty and integrity, respect for others and spirit of teamwork)

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

Skills/Capabilities/Technical:

  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Must possess good organizational skills and have attention for detail
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, change oriented environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be customer/team oriented, self-starter, and have a can- do, positive attitude

Additional Information:

  • Travel to CES in January and some overtime may be involved
